Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. with simple acts of kindness: write positive messages and hide them around the library for others to find, handmake a bookmark to share, help make a blanket to donate to kids in need, and more!

Join Miss Diane for a themed storytime designed to help develop your child’s literacy skills while creating lasting memories together. We will read some charming picture books, recite some flannel board rhymes and even sing a song or two.

Join us at the Library for a blood drive hosted by Versiti Blood Center of Illinois. Donating blood is a quick and impactful way to support your community. Walk-ins are welcome, but it's best to reserve an appointment.

Middle schoolers may join us for some gaming fun on early dismissal days. Try out the new Nintendo Switch 2 and play some board games! 

Do you enjoy knitting, crocheting, or embroidery? Would you like to meet others who share your passion? Join us every other Tuesday to work on your projects and connect with fellow crafters. Don’t have a project yet?

Calling brick-builders of all ages! Come to the library every third Tuesday of the month to build with our LEGOs. LEGOs cannot leave the library, but we will be happy to display your child’s creations!

Join Miss Callie and Roger the friendly bear for a half-hour of stories, rhymes, and songs! Early literacy is more fun when we rhyme and sing all together.

For ages 0-5

Gather after school for a weekly high-octane, rules-light game session. In Dungeons & Dragons, players create characters, embark on epic quests, and work together to overcome challenges using dice rolls and creative problem-solving.

Need a little extra help with your phone, tablet, or laptop? Stop by anytime between 6:00–8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays for one-on-one assistance.

Join Ms. Maggie for Polish stories and enjoy crafts and games that encourage creativity.

Are you a teen looking for volunteer hours? Come on down and help out the library staff with some tasks every month! Fenton students may sign up for this through Mrs. Sabatino. Drop-ins are also accepted.

Celebrate National Penguin Day with us and make adorable sock penguins. He’s so flipping cute you’ll want to make him your pet.

Monday Mayhem is a time to kick-back, relax, and have some fun. It might be a game, a craft, a film, a project- who knows? You might even learn something. The only guarantee- it will be fun!

The Bensenville Community Public Library Board of Trustees meet on the fourth Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the Library.

Want to learn how to make your very own indoor snow? Come to the library on January 27th to see science at work! Please note that while the pretend snow is non-toxic, it should not be eaten.

On February 17, 2026 much of East Asia will welcome the Year of the Horse. The Chinese use the zodiac animals to inspire and encourage positive qualities in ourselves by learning from the natural world.
